Trade Bank of Iraq – Women Empowerment Section organized a seminar for female employees at the TBI’s Headquarters ” Ending Violence Against Women”.
This campaign is an annual global initiative spanning for 16 days, aims to end violence against women. The seminar was co-lectured by the Community Police Department of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior.
This seminar is part of the ongoing activities organized by TBI’s Women Empowerment Section, designed to support female staff members in the Bank.

“TBI President Meets with Iraqi and Emirati Businessmen in Dubai”
The President of Trade Bank of Iraq “TBI” and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mohammed MohammedJawad Al-Dulaimi, met with several Iraqi and Emirati Businessmen as well as investors at the Iraqi Consulate HQ in Dubai – United Arab Emirates. The meeting was attended by the Iraqi Consul, Mr. Amad Abdel Hamid, and the Commercial Attache at the Consulate.
During this event, discussion were made with businessmen regarding their needs for the banking services being provided to them inside and outside Iraq, not mentioning the procedures of converting TBI Representative Office in Abu Dhabi into an official Branch to provide services and overcoming obstacles faced during serving those investors and businessmen, the thing that shall improve the provision of banking services to clients, build strong practical relations and cooperate with the most important institutions of the two countries thus achieving mutual interest and promoting business prosperity.
The official spokesman for Trade Bank of Iraq, Mr. Ahmed Saad Al-Khazraji, said “The Bank’s strategic management plan focuses on strengthening its ability to build strong banking relationships and communicate with the outside world countries in order to enhance the role of trade between Iraq and the world. Following the executive order of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Mohammed MohammedJawad Kadhim Al-Dulaimi commenced his duties as the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Trade Bank of Iraq on 24 January 2023.
Mr. Al-Dulaimi met the bank’s staff as soon as he arrived to review the working mechanism of the bank in general, stressing that an expanded strategic action plan shall be developed based on the directives of the Prime Minister for the advancement of the financial sector in Iraq.

Trade Bank of Iraq Meets JP. Morgan Delegation
The Trade Bank of Iraq President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Bilal Sabah Al-Hamdani, met with the Vice Chair of JP Morgan Bank (JP. Morgan), Mr. Daniel Zelikow, and his accompanying delegation as well as number of bank team.
In general, the two banks discussed the long practical relationship binding them and means of developing the mechanism of banking transaction implemented by Trade Bank of Iraq through JP Morgan Bank.
Our bank seeks to provide all possible facilities for foreign trade financing operations, not mentioning the development of industrial and service enterprises, providing banking services to government institutions and private sector companies in support of the directives of the Prime Minister of the, Eng. Trade Bank of Iraq and Iraqi Football Association Sign Sponsorship Agreement

On Monday, Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) signed a sponsorship agreement for our national teams with the Iraqi Football Association, at the headquarters of the bank, with the presence of the President of the Bank and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Bilal Sabah Al-Hamdani, and the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Captain Adnan Darjal.
The official spokesman for the bank and Head of Media and Public Relations Department, Mr. Ahmed Saad Al-Khazraji, said that this step was taken with the support and guidance of the Iraqi government which back all sports and our national teams in their upcoming tournaments.
He also added that Trade Bank of Iraq is always working on supporting many sectors through its continuous initiatives within its development plan. Today, the bank urges the steps of the Iraqi Football Association, which in turn seeks to develop and raise the technical, training and administrative level of our national teams, which is looking to invest the energies of the players to achieve the highest positive levels to place our national teams at highest levels in the upcoming tournaments, and in turn contributes to achieving football titles in the name of our beloved country, Iraq.
In conclusion, the President of the Iraqi Football Association extended his thanks and gratitude to the President of Trade Bank of Iraq for this initiative and the support for our national teams to assists the progress of Iraqi football.



As its main objective was to spread banking culture and promote the services provided by banks in general, the Financial Inclusion Week 2023 wsa concluded. During such week, Trade Bank of Iraq made filed tours, the latest of which was a visit to Al-Turath University College in order to educate and motivate students for using electronic payment means such as e-cards (Visa Card and MasterCard) in their daily life activities via POS devices, as well as to introduce our bank’s services, like “Drasati” loan which is granted to granted to students to facilitate the completion of their undergraduate or postgraduate studies in public or private universities of Iraq.
This event also included a different initiative carried out by our bank this year to support the afforestation initiative by visiting (Al-Intisar High School and Al-Anwar Intermediate School for Girls) and started planting the school gardens with ornamental plants and flowers of all kinds, the thing which will be reflected positively in most parts of the country. This came as we adhere to the government’s guidelines regarding such important and vital sector.

Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) Participated in the Third Communications, Electronics and Media Exhibition and Conference (CEMEX) which was held in Sulaymaniyah, with the presence of a number of government institutions and private sector companies working in the fields of media, communications and IT. The exhibition aimed to provide an opportunity for employees in such fields to discuss the cutting-edge developments and find solutions for the constraints faced by users of these sectors in order to provide them with best service.

The Women’s Empowerment Division at Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) held a seminar to introduce banking services and operations at the bank’s headquarters for a number of students of Maysalun Commercial High School. This seminar was held during the activities of the Financial Inclusion Week; through which we work to spread the banking culture to all segments of society.
In conclusion, a field tour was made by the students at the bank branch which enabled them to directly view the practical procedures being followed by the bank staff and expressed their thanks and gratitude for presenting such useful seminar by the bank.

As part of Trade Bank of Iraq participation in the Financial Inclusion Week, which will continue till next Thursday 11th May 2023, and as we endeavor to spread Iraq’s financial and banking culture, our bank ‘s team made a field visit to each of Al-Nahrain University, Dream City Mall, and Al-Alwiya Club to promote our banking services, through which we always seek to enhance efforts of providing our services to the public in order to urge participation in such sector.
The Financial Inclusion is necessary for raising citizens’ awareness about the services and products provided by banks and financial institutions, as well as for guiding those citizens to use the most recent technical banking methods in their financial dealings as well as educating on the means of conducting electronic payment transactions.

Mr. Al-Hamdani met with the bank’s senior staff as soon as he arrived to review the working mechanism of the bank in general, stressing that an expanded strategic action plan will be developed based on the directives of the Prime Minister for the advancement of the Iraqi financial sector.

Trade Bank of Iraq Achieves its Highest Profit Rate since Its Establishment

Achieving the highest level of annual profitability since its establishment, the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) announced on January 11, 2023, its net profits for the year 2022 in the amount of (1 One trillion two hundred and sixty-seven billion Iraqi dinars), equivalent to (Eight hundred and sixty-seven million dollars).
This significant increase resulted from the deliberate management of its funds, as the Bank made tireless efforts to recover the defaulting commercial loans previously granted, which constituted a high proportion of the current profits, in addition to imposing additional guarantees on other loans pending repayment, which is a crucial factor in maximizing the Bank’s earnings in the future.
The current management of the Bank and its Board of Directors has been working according to its strategic vision developed to support the Iraqi government’s policy in strengthening the private sector and employing human resources in various fields. This strategic vision also includes expanding the lending scope for commercial, industrial and investment development projects and the banking services provided to individuals and governmental and private institutions locally and internationally. These factors will contribute to the development and support of the Iraqi economy in general and strengthen the Government’s development steps in particular.
Furthermore, The Bank’s current management and Board of Directors supported community initiatives, most notably the donation to the pavilion of the Republic of Iraq at the Expo held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; the contribution to the development and rehabilitation of Tahrir Square in the heart of Baghdad; and finally, the 100 million dinars donation to the Iraqi Manuscript House to support the project of imaging its manuscripts with modern high-precision equipment to photograph and preserve Iraq’s world heritage.
The Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) will soon announce the opening of additional branches inside Iraq as it continues its expansion plan outside Iraq as well. The Bank’s branch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be officially opened in March this year.
