The Trade Bank of Iraq is very pleased to congratulate the lucky Mr. Baz Raouf who is from Erbil province, for winning (Ten million IQD) in the second draw of “TESTAHEL” product.
The event took place on (04/05/2017) at 6:00 pm in Alalawya Club in Baghdad and it was attended by representatives of the Iraqi Presidency and Central Bank of Iraq, as a monitory unit, Iraqi Privet Banks League and several participants in “TESTAHEL” draw who came from all Iraq provinces. The participants were selected through TBI application on Facebook.
The event was covered by Al Iraqiya & NRT channels and other Medias.
“TESTAHEL” product is a deposit certificate issued by Trade Bank of Iraq and approved by Central Bank of Iraq. Any citizen can participate in this draw by depositing 500.000 IQD and have the chance to win valuable prizes during
10 monthly, semi-annual and annual draw in accordance with previously mentioned conditions.
The draw was managed through network and by suspending the ranks of deposits certificates.
Trade Bank of Iraq has participated in Financial Inclusion week during the period 25-30 April 2018 which was held at the University of Technology, Mutanabbi Street and Babylon Mall.
This event was in corporation with Central Bank of Iraq and Private League and was a good chance to introduce TBI services to different kinds citizens.
On Wednesday 25/4/2018, Trade Bank of Iraq was awarded by Deutsche Bank with LC Trade Finance Award for the accuracy and efficiency of the LC department transactions through our correspondent.
The award was presented by Mr. Ahmed shhab, Head of Trade Finance and Financial Institutions, Mr. Kareem Yebari, Deputy Manager of Trade Finance and Mr. Othman Ali Mansour, Head Manager of Gulf Cooperation Council, to Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, Chairman and Acting CEO of Trade Bank of Iraq during the meeting in which they discussed means of developing the mutual relationship of the two institutions along with the representatives of each bank.
Council of Ministers Agrees to Increase TBI Capital
During a press conference on (02/05/2017), the Prime Minister, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, declared increasing the Trade Bank of Iraq capital from (one trillion into two trillion and seven hundred and fifty billion IQD) in order to support investment and leading the way for TBI to practice its business more in supporting Iraq investment.
Our bank gained this increase due to its ongoing banking works.

For we care to consolidate proper saving concept and to encourage children to get familiar with the basics of banking transactions and coinciding with Financial Inclusion Week for the period 25-30-2018 and in its first day, Trade Bank of Iraq along with Private Banks League visited International Creativity Development Center (ICCD) in Al-Mansour District/Baghdad.
Gifts were presented to the children containing special messages to their parents regarding the services provided by the bank and our locations.
I love Mosul
Is a statue which resembles peoples love for Mosul and reminds us of how ISIS was cruelly defeated. The statue was set up at Festivities square in the east side of the province. This idea was created by a group of youth and sponsored by Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI).
We chose Mosul for it survived the cruel straggle it suffered with ISIS. This victory was achieved by the different sectors of Iraqi Military and the Iraqi’s determination in supporting Mosul’s people.
Regarding the CBI role in supporting the financial inclusion in Iraqi Kurdistan and the importance of salary domiciliation, Trade Bank of Iraq participated in the seminar held in 21-22 April 2018 by Central Bank of IRAQ. This participation is incorporation of university of in province Duhok province.
This seminar was attended by Dr.Ahmed Ebreehi member of the board directors of CBI, Ms. Doha Abdel Kareem, General Manager of Payments Department at CBI, Dr.Bassem Adel Hadi, Manager of Financial Inclusion committee and Ms.Rafif Muayid assistant General Manager Banking department of credit.
The discussions were among student, teaching staff and attendees from CBI, TBI and Iraqi Private Bank League, which focused on the importance of financial inclusion, salary domiciliation, analysis of banking activities in Iraq a credit and financial depth (Iraq and international experience).
Furthermore, the seminar dedicated special booth places for banks in order to introduce their services to the citizens and answer their queries.
Trade Bank of Iraq will participate in Financial Inclusion week during the period 25-30 April 2018 including all its events that will be held at schools, universities and Malls. This participation is in corporation with Central Bank of Iraq and Privet Banks League.

The sixteen participants of the above course were examined by Mr. Suran, the course lecturer, and then awarded the Internal Auditor of Quality Management System certificate. The First Conference of Economy and Investment in Meesan
Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) has participated in The First Conference of Economy and Investment in Meesan as the main sponsor under the title (Meesan is the promising environment for investment). The conference was held with the partnership of the Governorate of Meesan, Meesan Investment Commission and Information Source Scientific Association while it was organized by AL-Taqadom Company for training and organizing.
The conference started with a special speech by the respected Mr. Ali Daway, the governor of Meesan, along with a Power Point presentation explained the development of Meesan and the investment opportunities for the time being. After that, Mr. Yusif Rahdy, Head of Meesan Investment Commission, said his word.
“We give our support for economic initiatives upholding the economy of Iraq by providing financial solutions to the vital projects.” said Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, the General Manager of TBI.
The conference also included many topics regarding investment environment and opportunities, economical growth, oil topic, Marshes topic regarding developing the economical environment in Marshes and the agricultural sector in Meesan.
The conference ended by a presentation showed how the companies’ contribution in the promising investment environment would keep & support the governmental entities participating in the same conference in order to increase interaction among participants.

On Thursday (30/03/2017) at a press conference, the Trade Bank of Iraq has declared its financial statements, which was audited by KPMG company for the financial year: (31/12/2016), where Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, Acting General Manager & CEO of TBI, showed the most important accomplishment and financial results.
Mr. Faisal expressed his happiness and gratitude toward TBI members of board of Directors regarding their continues support and all the Bank employees for their hard working to enable the bank achieve the strongest financial performance in its history thus, the Trade Bank of Iraq incomes reached (700 Billion IQD) increasing by (6%) over its incomes of 2015 and (536 billion IQD) of net profit i.e. increased by (265%) compared with the year of (31/12/2015).
Also, the General Manager has cited the following achievements:
- Settling the visions, missions and values of the Bank along with concentrating on allocation of depressed debt repayments, which were about 197 million USD and 21 billion IQD on cash.
- The restructuring of 34
- We signed the first syndicated loans agreement in Iraq.
- The sale cards were increased by (400%) for the purpose of settling salaries where they are paid electronically to (172) employees at (22) institutes in Iraq.
- Qualifying TBI and its employees to gain (ISO 9001/2015) certificate.
- Updating the electronic system through which we would manage to launch Banking services.
Also, the Trade Bank of Iraq and its employees has arranged the first campaign to support our people in Mosul under the title: “Lil Mosul Tanena”
(We managed to reach Mosul) which included distributing humanitarian aids over (1300) families because TBI believes that it necessary to support the military efforts of our brave soldiers and Al-Hashd Al-Sha’abi (the Popular Mobilization Forces) by social support to put back the smile of our people being freed out of ISIS cruel control.

A seminar was held on Saturday (07/04/2018) entitled “Partnership between Governmental and Privet sectors”. The seminar was chaired by Mr. Abdul Zahraa Hendawi with preference of Dr. Mahdi Al-Alak, General Secretary of Cabinet, Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, TBI Chairman & Acting CEO, Mr. Jacob Shonia, an economic expert.
All participants ensured the importance of this partnership and its role in activating the economy by different means including transparency, competition and distribution of risks, which an aspect that increases employment opportunities and rehabilitates all cadres and prevent the competencies emigration and attracting capital.
Mr. Faisal Al Haimus stressed that the Governmental banking sector can seriously affect this partnership, not forgetting its ability to finance the various economic sectors the thing that would benefit our country and its people.

- For TBI is always keen to reach for customers in different places and promoting for TBI’s products & services, the bank cadre participated in 1st Banking Services Fair, which lasted for two days ( Tuesday-Wednesday .e.g. 6-7/03/2018 at which was held at Basra Times Square. Note forgetting that number of Governmental and Privet bank has participated too.
The 5th Annual Job Fair at University of Baghdad
- TBI has participated in the 5th Annual Job Fair at Baghdad University, which was held at Central Library of University of Baghdad on 08/03/2018.
The fair was opened by Mr. Abdul Razaq Al Issia, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry. During the event, TBI staff explained the bank products such as TESTAHEL, loans for employees and other properties, not forgetting TBI’s branches at the malls.
On Tuesday (13/03/2018), Mr. Muhammad Al Yasseen, the winner of “TESTAHEL” first annual draw of IQD100.000.000 million from TBI Al Hilla branch, has received his prize.
Mr. Muhammad was very grateful to the bank and all it staff for the unique services saying that participating in TESTAHEL is a new kind of idea in the Iraqi markets aiming to keep peoples funds save at the bank, not mentioning that the citizen can retain his/her money at any time.

Trade Bank of Iraq launched its monthly program (Work, Complete, Be Unique) in order to develop the bank and its staff depending on duties, principles and objectives adopted by TBI.

The event took place on (4/12/2017) at Babylon Mall and it was attended by Mr. Waleed Eedy, Representative of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, Acting CEO & Chairman of TBI, Mr. Abdul Azeez Jabar, Member of TBI Board of Directors along with Deputy General Managers at the bank, the Retail Department staff and some investors in “TESTAHEL”.
The winner was chosen by one of the investors, who were invited through the electronic application on TBI Facebook page, the thing that will strengthen the bank’s transparency and its interaction with customers.
“TESTAHEL” product is a certificate of deposit issued by Trade Bank of Iraq and approved by Central Bank of Iraq. Any citizen can participate in this draw by depositing 500.000 IQD and have the chance to win valuable prizes during
10 monthly, one semi-annual and annual draw of 100,000,000 IQD in accordance with previously mentioned conditions.

On Wednesday (15/11/2017), the Trdae Bank of Iraq participated in Banking Fair of Salary Domiciliation, which was sponsored by the Prime Minister, Dr. Haider Al-obady, at Royal Tulip Al Rasheed Hotel.
The Fair was attended by Secretary General of Ministry Council, Dr. Mahdi Al-allaq, the CBIQ Chairman, Dr. Ali Al-allaq and the head of the Iraqi Privet Banks League, Mr. Wadih Al-hantheal.
During the event, the participants presented all kinds of banking products along with the privileges customers going to acquire after domiciling their salaries with the bank (personal loans, Sayarty product and other privileges).

The Trade Bank of Iraq is very pleased to congratulate Mrs. Sakar Jabbar Qader for wining 40 Million IQD in the sixth draw of TESTAHEL product. The event took place on ( 04/09/2017 )at 6:00 pm in Basra Times Square Mall.
The event was attended by Mr. Qasim Raheef, Director General of the Central Bank of Iraq in Basra, Staff Lieutenant General and Operations Commander of Basra , Mr. Jameel Al-Shmarry, Deputy Minister of Transport and Director General of Maritime Transport, Mr. Abdul Kareem Al-Jaberry along with Member of Basra Governorate Council, Mr. Aqeel Al-Khalidy and some investors, active figures and participants in TESTAHEL draw, who were selected electronically on TBI Facebook page.
The draw was carried out on Eid Al-Adha where nine prizes were given to 9 winners from different TBI branches (Baghdad, Basra,Najaf and Kut) and they were chosen electronically. The prizes included: ( gold jewelry, refrigerators and freezers).

You can watch a part of the semi-annual press conference regarding the achievements of the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) for the period (02/01/2017) till (30/06/2017).
Acting CEO, Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, has proudly honored the engineers who worked continuously over three months to rehabilitate TBI building in Basra.
It is worth mentioning that the new design reflects our will to change for the better. The branch location was changed to be at the new building which is solely owned by TBI on (23/7/2017) at Al-Estiklal street near the General Directorate of Traffic. The branch was reopened officially on ( 6/8/2017) as we declared previously.
On (15/8/2017) Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, Acting CEO & Chairman of the Trade Bank of Iraq visited Mr. Sadeq Madlul, the Governor of Babil, the president of the Governorate Council, Mr. Raad Hamza Al-Jubouri and Mr. Asaad Al-Musallamawi, member of the Governorate of Council.
The most important talks that have been held were the ones regarding how TBI supports the Governorate Councils, especially finding alternatives for the governorates incomes and backing privet sector along with its projects in compliance with directives of the Prime Minister, Dr. Haider Al-Obady.
After that, Acting CEO, the Governor of Babylon and Major General, Mr. Ali Hassan , who is Babylon police chief, visited TBI branch at Babylon, during which, long discussions have been held with investors and business men concerning facilities provided to them as well as the obstacles they face at work and the possible solutions.
At the end, the Governor of Babylon, the president of the Governorate Council, TBI Acting CEO, the Manager of TBI branch at Basra and others visited the Sugar Refinery, where they met Mr. Muhammad Hussein, Chairman of Etihad Food Group and Mr. Rhyad Kadihm, Authorized Manager of the same company, which is one of the biggest local companies in Iraq and Middle East in food industries.
Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus expressed his gratitude for the great hospitality and said:
“It is important for us to lead the banking sector by supporting both private and state sectors of the economical activates to benefit the economy of Iraq in compliance with Directives of the Prime Minister, Dr. Haider Al-Obady”
