This initiative is based on daily-accomplished works, additional initiatives and suggestions that may develop the employee’s department specifically and the bank as whole, not mentioning strengthening team work aspect among employees. The program also takes into consideration overtime works, through which duties can be accomplished quickly.
The project is formed by three simple words:
Work: means performing your duties honestly & truthfully and bearing the decision making responsibility.
Complete: means completing your job accurately & in high quality within the frame time in order to gain customer satisfaction.
Be Unique: Having positive ideas and social initiatives along with being cooperative and up to date with your officer and colleagues.
Mr. Hassanin Muzher Hussain, a TBI employee, was rewarded the Certificate of Uniqueness on December 2018, which was handed to him by Mr. Faisal Al Haimus, President and Chairman of Trade Bank of Iraq, wishing him and all TBI staff more creativity.
As part of social responsibility towards our country and youth, Trade Bank of Iraq honored the young-talented Iraqis, who participated their work through TBI official page, at its annual celebration held on Friday 21st December 2018 at Alalwya Club.
The participant’s works were listed in a handbook, which will be distributed at the Opening Ceremony of TBI new branch at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

TBI PARTICIPATES IN CONFERENCE HOSTED BY THE AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO DISCUSS INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN IRAQ
Baghdad, December 24, 2018: Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) officials met with Douglas A. Silliman, the United States Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, and a delegation of American companies at a conference hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce held recently at the Babylon Warwick Hotel in Baghdad.
The meeting delegates discussed several solutions to help enhance the Iraqi economy and accelerate the delivery of high-quality services throughout the country.
During his address to the delegation, Faisal Al Haimus, Chairman & President of Trade Bank of Iraq, highlighted the significant role TBI plays in assisting the ongoing reconstruction of Iraq as the bank continues to define its reputation as a competent institution with access to global financial networks.
Mr. Faisal said: “Trade Bank of Iraq has established strategic partnerships between the Iraqi government and private infrastructure developers around the world.
“We have also provided guarantees and generated financing through our established relationships with global financial institutions in order to generate more investment in Iraq in the last few years.
“The bank has received several international awards and recognitions based on our constant efforts to raise the standard of transparency and quality in our financial services which has helped to attract investments.”
Douglas A. Silliman, U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, emphasized that the size of the delegation of over 50 companies and 100 delegates created an atmosphere of genuine enthusiasm to invest in Iraq. The American Ambassador noted that Trade Bank of Iraq has played a significant role in serving the interests of the country through the import and export operations, as well as forming global partnerships aimed at improving the economy of Iraq.
The visiting delegation included a number of businessmen and heads of American companies from multiple business sectors.
The conference, held in Baghdad December 9 & 11, concluded with a series of economic recommendations and discussions during which delegates reviewed the strong relationship between Iraq and the United States of America and discussed prospects for supporting and developing various business sectors, expanding areas of economic partnerships, and raising the level of trade exchange between the two countries.

TBI BECOMES FIRST BANK IN IRAQ EVER TO BE RATED WITH B- FROM FITCH
International ratings agency, Fitch Ratings, assigns Trade Bank Iraq a Long-term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of ‘B-‘ with Stable Outlook
Iraq, Baghdad, 19 November 2018: Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) has been assigned Long-term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of ‘B-‘ with Stable Outlook by Fitch Ratings.
The impressive B- marks the first time an Iraqi Bank has received an official rating through an international ratings agency.
TBI was assessed under Fitch’s globally recognized rating criteria which considered the overall financial health of the bank with emphasis on its financial statement, management, profitability, portfolio diversification, liquidity and revenue among other factors.
Mr. Faisal Al Haimus, President Trade Bank of Iraq commented “The rating assigned to TBI, the first for an Iraqi Bank and in line with the Sovereign of Iraq is indeed a very proud achievement for all of us.
“Our strong balance sheet and profitability, healthy liquidity, diversification strategy in the Corporate and Retail sector and our continued success in the creation of innovative products and services is a testament of working towards our Strategic Initiatives.
“Our achievements have been well recognized through the many awards and accolades received in recent years and we continue to strive forward relentlessly towards our vision with greater zeal and determination.”
TBI was established in July 2003 with the aim of helping in the reconstruction of Iraq by facilitating international trade and continues to be at the forefront of large-scale infrastructure developments across the country.

On Tuesday 10 December 2018, Trade Bank of Iraq attended the fourth annual conference of the Central Bank of Iraq: Data and Trends, which was held in Baghdad.
This conference reflects the renewed role of central banks in achieving monetary stability and contribution in establishing the components of economic growth and sustainable development.
The conference included three sessions, the first of which was “Relationship between the Monetary and Financial policies”, the second one was, “The role of the Banking system in Stimulating the Private Sector (International experiences)”, while the third session was “The Developmental Dimension of Monetary Policy in Iraq.”
In conclusion, Trade Bank of Iraq was honored by the Central Bank of Iraq and ranked first in terms of the salary domiciliation.

On Friday (30/Nov/2018) Trade bank of Iraq participated in the second reading festival as a main sponsor of us social initiatives in the left-part of Al-Mousl. The initiatives included the purchase of various books (scientific and stories) and contribute to make of twenty libraries will be distributed with books in schools and the central library at the University of Mosul.
The festival included several of activities, including pantomime performances that refers to unity, band entertained by Osman Al-Musli, Bazar for handmade, selling books with nominal prices in favor of personnel casualty (Thalassemia), and distribution of libraries to school administrations and each library includes )250(books for primary and secondary schools in the city of Mosul and regions.
The number of participants was (1000) person, this only indicate to love reading. In addition to mentioned above, TBI participated in order to introduce their services to the citizens and answer their queries.

TRADE BANK OF IRAQ’S UAE OFFICE GETS ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION AS IT CELEBRATES COMPLETION OF A SUCCESSFUL FIRST YEAR
Abu Dhabi, Nov 28, 2018: Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) is celebrating the anniversary of the launch of its first international office in style, as it has been awarded a renowned ISO certification validating its continuous efforts towards successfully implementing international best practises.
TBI’s representative office in Abu Dhabi has been certified to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification following a recent audit by LMS Certification Limited. The certification is the world’s most established quality framework, used by more than one million organisations in 170 countries, and sets the standard for quality management systems.
It confirms that TBI has met the requirements of the ISO standard for its quality management system across its operations, including a strong customer focus, the process approach and its drive for continual improvement.
The Bank’s decision to obtain recognition of the compliance of its Abu Dhabi office with the most recent version of the ISO 9001 standard is a means to continue improving the quality, efficiency and transparency of its functioning.

On Monday 22nd Oct 2018, both the Administrative and Electronic Documentation departments proceeded with another TBI Charitable campaign by distributing stationery in Al-Yasiry primary school.
“I appreciate Trade Bank of Iraq for this careering initiative, which shall urge other Governmental institutions to work in supporting our beloved children. “ Said Mr. Hussain Falih, head of Abu-Gharib Education department, who attended the distribution event.

On Saturday (13/10/2018) Trade bank of Iraq participated in the International Monetary Fund IMF and The World Bank Group, which were held in Indonesia- Bali for the period (11-13/ Oct. 2018).
The event was attended by Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, President and Chairman of Trade Bank of Iraq, Mr. Saif Al –Mashhadani, Assistant president and Mr. Habib Al Bitar, Chief Representative of TBI Representative Office in Abu Dhabi along with some of TBI employees.
Bank representatives met with several international bank, such like (J.P.Morgan, Standard Chartered bank, Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, United Emirates Bank, Citibank and aktif bank) in order to consolidate of cooperation and enhance banking business operations with Iraq through TBI.

• TBI and Commerzbank aims for a business volume of EUR 100 million linked to SME projects Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Oct 03 2018: Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) has signed a Basic Loan Agreement for financing loans with Commerzbank to support small and medium sized projects in Iraq.
The Loan Agreement was signed at the back of TBI being approved by Germany’s export credit insurer Euler Hermes as a borrower for medium and long term Export Credit Agency (ECA) financing with repayment terms of up to 5 years.
TBI aims to support public and private sector projects up to a business volume of EUR 100 million and facilitate financing of export contracts for products, materials and machines.
The newly-signed loan agreement focuses on the financing of export contracts awarded to Commerzbank clients in Germany and other European countries.
The signing of this agreement is part of the long-term strategy of TBI to source and secure funding for projects in Iraq, which will create new opportunities for employment and accelerate the process of economic growth.
TBI was established in July 2003 with the aim of helping in the reconstruction of Iraq by facilitating international trade and continues to be at the forefront of large-scale infrastructure developments across the country.
The institution’s financial network and expertise plays a significant role in sourcing and securing funding for projects.
It established its first international office in the UAE in 2017 and has since signed several agreements with international banks and finance firms to help fund infrastructure projects inside Iraq.
The MoU with Commerzbank was officially signed at TBI’s representative office at Abu Dhabi Global Market on Al Maryah Island in the presence of senior representatives from Commerzbank and Euler Hermes.
Faisal Al Haimus, Chairman & President of Trade Bank of Iraq, said: “This loan agreement will enable us to provide support for SMEs in Iraq as they have a big role to play in the economic upturn in Iraq by driving the growth.
“Thanks to the backing of Euler Hermes, funds will be transferred directly by Commerzbank to suppliers from Germany and other European countries ensuring the success of the suitable projects we identify.
The SMEs will get access to the supplies and machinery with excellent repayment terms. “We are committed towards the upliftment of the Iraqi economy by partnering and engaging with various stakeholders to help Iraqi businesses to realise their ambitions for growth.
“This agreement is further evidence that we remain committed to our mission to create new trade and investment links between Iraq and rest of the world.”
Cathrin Karpinski, Head of International Markets Export & Agency Finance of Commerzbank, said: “This Basic Loan Agreement is a great achievement which will contribute to strengthen the trade relations between Iraq and Germany.
“Through this framework we will support Iraqi companies seeking to do business with our clients in Germany and other parts of Europe by offering long-term funding for various projects in the future.

On Saturday (18/08/2018), Trade Bank of Iraq held a Ribbon-cutting ceremony for opening Al-Tayaran Square after Rehabilitations. Trade Bank of Iraq plays a key role in the Iraqi Government’s drive to enhance the power infrastructure and support the expanding requirements of its citizens. In July this year, TBI and GE successfully closed the transaction related to the rehabilitation of the Khor Al Zubair power plant worth 52 million Euros, which was financed by Mashreq under this partnership.
The Khor Al Zubair project is the largest U.S. Government-funded power-plant project undertaken in Iraq. Located in a remote region of southern Iraq, the gas-turbine plant is designed to supply electricity for hundreds of thousands of people.

In the course of developing economic relations between Iraq & Saudi Arabia, Mr. Faisl Al Haimus, president of TBI visited the Saudi ambassador Mr. Abd Al Azeez AL Shammari. They discussed the procedures of opining a branch in Saudi Arabia and the economic relations between the two countries.

TBI VS (Sardar Trading Agency(STA)) Agreement
A cooperation agreement has been signed between the TRADE BANK of IRAQ (TBI) and agent of Jaguar Land Rover – Sardar Trading Agency(STA).
Iraq – Baghdad
In line with the vision of the bank’s management and its plan to support the private sector and provide the customers with exceptional services, Trade Bank of Iraq signed a new Sayaraty agreement with Sardar Trading Agency(STA).
The event occurred on July 29, 2018, it is part of “Sayaraty” loan project launched by TBI which aims to provide the employees whom their salaries are domiciled by TBI and are wishing to buy Jaguar Land Rover vehicles with convenient installments. The value of the loan is up to IQD 60 million. While Sardar Trading Agency handles Jaguar Land Rover Sales to citizens borrowing through TBI, the company also provides a service centers and original parts in Iraq’s provinces for after-sales service. Jaguar Land Rover manufactures also provides five years’ warranty in addition to five-year maintenance plan. The agreement was signed by Mr. Fuad Al-Wakeel Assistant president and Mr. Abd Al Hameed Awad General Agent of Sardar Group and Mr. Ranajit Sinkopta, General Manager of Sardar Trading Agency in Iraq.

As part of our social initiatives among TBI staff, the second Ramadan Tournament ended on Friday 08/06/2018 the second Ramadan tournament ended by winning the administrative dept. team the first place in football, while Karbala team came in second.
Both of Mr. Mukdad Taha & Mr. Ahmed Eid have won the first place in Dominos, while both of Mr. Yahya Hamid & Thaer Alwan came in second.

On Sunday (04/03/2018) Trade Bank of Iraq held the first annual draw of “TESTAHEL” product at Babylon Wreck Hotel. The event was attended by Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, TBI Acting CEO & Chairman, Central Bank of Iraq representatives, number of embassies and Diplomatic Missions in addition to some public figures along with TESTAHEL investors & previous winners.
The draw was made by the famous actor Mr. Ayad Rahdi and the lucky winner of IQD 100.000.000 millions was Mr. Muhammad Al Yasseen. The draw also included 9 additional prizes, each of which is of IQD 7,500,000 millions.
“We are very pleased to hold the first annual draw of “TESTAHEL” product. “TESTAHEL” is going to continue for another year and it is a great thing to see our product achieving such wide success, not mentioning that the number of investors reached (34 thousand persons) from different bank branches.” said Mr. Faisal Al Haimus in this regard.

On Wednesday (07/02/2018), Retail Banking dept. /Marketing section of TBI have met Captain Yunis Mahmood and Samer Saeed and introduced them to all TBI services and products, especially TESTAHEL product, which is a certificate of deposits that received a great interest by Iraqi people and also by Captain Yunis and Samer as shown below.

Trade Bank of Iraq held a training course for Ministry of Oil (South Refineries Company and Oil Pipeline Company) regarding documentary letter of credit and letter of guarantee for period (4-8/02/2018) at TBI Head Office, in order to facilitate dealing with the bank and developing employees’ skills. 15 persons participated in the course and the lectures were given by Consultant Mr. Hussam Sirry and LCs department Head, Mr. Luzan Nagim.

Trade Bank of Iraq launched its monthly program (Work, Complete, Be Unique) in order to develop the bank and its staff depending on duties, principles and objectives adopted by TBI.
This initiative is based on accomplished daily works, additional initiatives and suggestions that may develop the employee’s department specifically and the bank as whole, not mentioning strengthening team work aspect among employees. The program also takes into consideration overtime works, through which duties can be accomplished quickly.
The project is formed by three simple words:
Work: means performing your duties honestly & truthfully and bearing the decision making responsibility.
Complete: means completing your job accurately & in high quality within the frame time in order to gain customer satisfaction.
Be Unique: Having positive ideas and social initiatives along with being cooperative and up to date with your officer and colleagues. This will increase interaction among employees and tighten their relationship adding more values on the bank standing and developing its business.
Mr. Suhail Najim, a TBI employee, was rewarded the Certificate of Unique Employee for January 2018, which was handed to him by Mr. Faisal Al Haimus, Acting CEO & Chairman of Trade Bank of Iraq, wishing from him and all TBI staff more creativity.

Trade Bank of Iraq at Children Teaching Hospital
The Administrative Department cadre at Trade Bank of Iraq has reconstructed part of the Children Teaching Hospital/ Baghdad Medical City by 40% and Mr. Faisal Al Haimus have visited them on (06/02/2018) appreciating what they have done and urging them to keep up the hard work.
This visit also included Mr. Ali Mahdi, night-shift Assistant Administrative and Dr. Mammun Abdul Whid Muhammad, Pediatric Senior house officer.
The reconstruction process included outdoor playground, fountain, kitchen and sanitary facilities, which is an important part that must be in best condition for the children sack, and other parts.
For it is the duty of all of us, we call all institutions to participate in such social initiatives

TBI Acting CEO & Chairman of Board of Directors along with the bank representatives has visited the museum of Mr. Alaa Al-Eidani, the Major and Military correspondent, to see liberation battle souvenirs and some honorary recognition plaques along with certifications of recognition that was awarded to him due to all those who sacrificed themselves for the sack of Iraq.
“The sacrifices of Major Alaa Al-Eidani are valuable and cannot be compared with anything else. We should follow him in the means of loyalty, hard work and giving the best for our precious country” said Mr. Faisal Al Haimus in that regard.
As a Governmental entity, we call all people to give possible aids as a small return for what Major Al-Eidani did.

On Thursday (18/08/2017) the Trade Bank of Iraq has received two prizes from International Finance Institution as follow:
1- Best Trade Bank in Iraq 2017
2- Best Banking CEO in Iraq 2017
International Finance is specialized in following institutions’ business across Africa and Meddle East.
Our Bank had received several awards due to its distinguish work during 2017 including (Best Brand Re-launch, Best Trade Finance, Best local bank and Best Investment bank). It was also ranked 19th on the list of top 100 banks in the Middle East by Banker Middle East and achieved unique income of around 900 billion dinars through 2017.

Iraqi Media Network Celebrates with TBI
Yesterday (17/1/2018) The Iraqi Media Network/Radio Iraq has arranged its first annual celebration in corporation with the Trade Bank of Iraq to represent the referendum results 2017 and honoring the brave soldiers who defeated ISIS.
The event was attended by number of governmental and political figures including Ministers, members of Parliament, Military commanders along with artistic and literary figures. During the celebration, many persons were honored for the effort they gave including Martyrs’ families for the sacrifices given by their sons and the Military commanders for their significant role in war which lead to ISIS defeat. Besides, Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, Acting CEO and Chairman of TBI has been rewarded the prize of Best CEO 2017 in Iraq which was received by Mr. Fuaad Al-wakeel, Deputy General Manager, on Chairman’s behalf.
