Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) sponsors the Akito Festival, the annual historical celebration of the occasion the Babylonian and Assyrian New Year held in Duhok.

Thousands of Assyrian Christians attend this festival; this carnival represents the Spring Festival in ancient Mesopotamia. The festival, commemorating the 6774th anniversary of this ancient civilization, begin from the first of April for a period of twelve days.
