Trade Bank of Iraq Opens New Office at SOMO

Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) is proud to announce the opening of its new office at the headquarters of the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO). This step reflects the vision of TBI’s Chairman and President, Mr. Bilal Sabah Hussein, to elevate banking services and align with the directives of the Honorable Prime Minister to enhance the banking sector and deliver superior services to all customers.

The new office officially commenced operations today, Wednesday, November 13, 2024. It is dedicated to provide specialized banking services, focus on issuing letters of credit, and ensuring seamless transactions between SOMO and TBI for all oil export and import activities. This initiative reinforces TBI’s role in supporting the national economy and advancing the energy sector, a cornerstone of Iraq’s economic growth.
