Trade Bank of Iraq & Ministry of Youth and Sports Join Together
Trade Bank of Iraq announced the signing of a joint cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Youth and Sports as a contribution in supporting and rehabilitating Youth and Sports projects and activities, as well as sponsoring clubs plus unions.
This cooperation comes due to the importance of investing the energies of youth in developing society for they represent the shield of all nations as well as its strength. Our youths play a significant role in building and developing societies; societies that contain a large proportion of youth are stronger and richer than others.
On this occasion, Mr. Salem Chalabi, Chairman and President of Trade Bank of Iraq, said: “Signing this agreement is part of the bank’s policy and initiatives in providing support to our Iraqi institutions. Earlier this year, the bank donated an amount of (5) five million dollars to the Ministry of Health as a contribution in confronting (COVID-19) as well as supporting the Ministry and government of Iraq to face the repercussions of this crisis that we shall overcome together.
For his part, Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Adnan Darjal, emphasized the importance of the governmental and private banking sectors in supporting sports and youth activities in light of the Ministry’s limited budget during the current circumstance. This support shall be implemented through granting sponsorships or loans for various projects and activities, or by investing in different types of Iraqi youth forums and sports federations. This is essential for strengthening those important sectors capabilities which contributes in embracing youths’ energies and providing various job opportunities.
In conclusion, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Minister of Youth and Sports for providing such opportunities that contribute in supporting youth and sports sector in Iraq.
