The Annual Arab Banking Conference 2024, organized by the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) in Qatar, was held under the motto “Sustainable Development Requirements and the Role of Banks.” The Governor of the Qatar Central Bank, Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al Thani, inaugurated this conference, with the participation of a TBI delegation and audience.
The conference was attended by an elite of banking, economic, and financial sector experts from several participating Arab countries, alongside representatives of Arab banks and financial institutions from different countries. The event focused on discussing current financial and banking matters, exchanging ideas, and reviewing the latest trends in the banking sector and modern financial technology.
Organizing such event is important to discuss the role of sustainable development in maintaining balance among economic, social, and environmental growth and the vital role that banks play in financing renewable energy projects and supporting community-based programs which raise and improve all aspects of life and the environment, thus achieving economic feasibility that positively impacts development. TBI participation in such international conferences is a reinforcement of its solid financial role and an expansion of its diverse network of relationships with Arab banks not mentioning strengthening communication which positively reflects on its serious operational role.
