Trade Bank of Iraq urges its customers to avoid responding to fraudulent phone calls or text messages from individuals claiming to represent the Bank or other official institutions and requesting personal or banking information.
We stress that TBI employees will never ITS customers to disclose sensitive banking information, such as:
- One-Time Passwords (OTP).
- Card Personal Identification Numbers (PIN).
- Card Verification Values (CVV).
- Bank account numbers, payment card details, or photographs of cards.
Please take the following precautionary measures to keep your accounts and funds secured:
- End any call immediately when caller requests confirmation codes or confidential information under the pretext of official procedures or customer data updates. Customer information can only be updated by attending a TBI branch personally.
- Avoid interacting with any links sent via text messages and rely solely on the Bank’s official and verified communication channels.
- Promptly report any suspected fraudulent activity through the Bank’s official communication channels only, which are verified by the blue verification badge.
