Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani presided over a meeting today, Sunday, to discuss and evaluate the operations of the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) and its contributions to financing and economic development in Iraq. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the General Manager of the Trade Bank of Iraq, and several Prime Minister advisors.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the crucial role of TBI in supporting both government institutions and the private sector. He emphasized the government`s commitment to enhancing the bank`s operations and addressing any challenges it faces.
A roadmap was endorsed at the meeting to enable TBI to efficiently manage and recover non-performing loans in a flexible and fair manner. This strategy is aimed at elevating the operations of the Trade Bank of Iraq to higher standards, aligning with government programs to develop bank credit and advance the sector, ensuring sustained growth and progress in Iraq`s economy.
